THE PROTOTYPE
Light-duty, switching diesel locomotive for yard and branch switching operations around the world.
THE MODEL
The loco has the new D type pancake motor block for reliable operation and easy DCC conversion. It has a sensor on the bottom of the loco on the left side that triggers the working horn sound when the loco passes over a Shourt Line Sound Activation Magnet.
Two LGB 17050 Sound Trigger Magnet LGB 17050 Sound Trigger Magnets have been added to the set so you can add sound to your layout right out of the box. Works on any analog power source.
The Horn is powered by track power and when track voltage is low, it can be powered by a 9 volt battery installed at the front of the loco under the engine hood. The battery is disconnected from the horn circuit when track power is removed. The horn can be operated without the battery if desired.
When the battery is used the loco will sound the horn at any or no track speed. When triggered, the horn will sound for 2 seconds unless the loco is parked over the trigger magnet and it this case the horn will trigger continuously until moved off the magnet.
